Sea of Galilee & Capernaum

Driving down to the lake the terrain is very dry and rocky but then in the areas round the lake there is very fertile volcanic soils & abundant agriculture. Large commercial agricultural areas, mangoes, bananas, dates etc. Jane was so excited when she saw the mango trees, the reason for which her sisters will understand. The girls will also appreciate the 'flame trees' and bouganvillea
that grew everywhere.

Since at this time of year it is sooooo hot the lake was nice & cool. We were sad on encountering a lot of pollution on the shores round about, but generally the lake itself seemed reasonably clean. So of course we all had to have a paddle. Unfortunately there is quite a lot of agricultural burn off & the atmosphere was not good for pics.
